I had to go the whole way to Japan to meet the Derby based company, Little Dog Laughs…We were on the same research trip in 2006 and we hit it off. On our return I visited their Derby studio where we discussed their new venture Little Dog Really Likes, whereby they would commission other designers to create images for this branch of the company. This was my first card design project and I was looking forward to seeing the images in this format and scale. I was asked to create 12 designs based on the theme on childhood. Most of the images feature friends and family as this is usually my first port of call when looking for inspiration- One day of researching was spent walking through the Derbyshire countryside with my friend Jackie and her new baby Arlo.
