I was invited by Bath Fashion Museum to show a large collection of artwork alongside the Museum’s fashion collection. I was intrigued by the context and was more that happy to agree. The exhibition was received very well and the Museum bought Pedestrians for their collection. Rosemary Harden, Exhibition curator says, ‘Work by embroiderer Laura McCafferty will be on display at the Fashion Museum from January to April 2009. Laura’s own description of her pieces as ‘documentary reportage textile art work’ perfectly captures the theme of this display, which will show the everyday clothes and fashions that people wear, but captured and expressed in a unique and beautiful way.’
