Lost

Exhibition Type:

solo

When:

30th May to 2 July 2009

Where:

Wallner Gallery, Lakeside Arts centre, Nottingham

My first solo exhibition in Nottingham, since graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2003; I was delighted to be able to showcase a series of large sale artworks, including The Crufts Misfits, Young Card Players and The Brighton Donkeys. For the first time I have included an original pen line drawing, Maggie Fowler and a new series of work titled, The Random Collection.

The Lost exhibition examines the idea that people from this moment in time are slowly becoming the lost generation; our photographic documentation, gathered on mobile phones, digital cameras and computers is Lost by theft or technical breakdown. This interest is an umbrella, under which a collection of documentary tableaux, gathered from a range of personal experiences can sit beneath; images that I have saved and have interpreted through my own vision of cloth, colour, hand-stitch and line.
