Laura McCafferty

Hair wash Scene, is a textile artwork from the Hairdressing Series. The piece was completed as part of my degree collection in 2003. The scene was directly inspired by a ladies salon in Nottingham.  It was featured in the illustration book, Imagemakers and was used in my first article, The future starts here, by Jo Hall for Embroidery. Two versions of this piece exist, in both my own collection and that of a private collector. It was the image that started the ball rolling.
