This is the original line drawing for the artwork The Brighton Donkeys. The image was directly inspired by a group of three friends that I met at a festival in 2007. At this time I was documenting things that I personally enjoyed doing, groups of friends and rebelling against the ‘old person’ artist that I had found myself being labeled as! This linear image was then translated through cloth, print and stitch to create the full colour, large scale textile artwork. There is also a limited edition screen-print of this line drawing available to buy for £85.
