Laura McCafferty

We are delighted to announce that Laura McCafferty will be visiting WYPW to talk about her work. Originally from Derry, Northern Ireland and now living in Nottingham, Laura is an internationally renown textile artist. Her work has been exhibited in UK and Japan and she has been featured in many magazines and other publications.

Laura states that her ‘work is a blend of traditional craft and contemporary, documentary-style illustration’. She uses screenprint to create line in her work. She then hand stitches pattern cloth on to the prints to form her distinctive style. For more information about her work see
